Italtile introduces Wembley.

An exclusive eco-stone-look tile collection from EcoTec pioneers Gryphon.

Forbes Magazine, renowned for its lists which rank a multitude of subjects – from billionaires to entertainers – created a ranking of the seven top tile trends towards the end of last year; biophilic design got top billing, along with extra-large format tiles. Italtile has just unpacked a stunning eco-stone-look tile collection by EcoTec pioneers Gryphon which ticks both trend boxes.

The sustainable 600 x 1200 Wembley collection is an accurate remastering of softly varied natural stone in two gentle neutral tones, available only at Italtile. Both warm Beige and cooler Light Grey will harmonise with all contemporary or classic mood boards. The Light Grey colourway, in particular, will allow homeowners to rock the biophilic macro-trend and bring nature inside, with its matt and slip-resistant options designed to connect the outside areas with the inside spaces.

The collection has six faces – individual graphic representations of the stone look – to add further authenticity to the final stone-look floor installation with hardly any repetition of pattern thanks to the subtle variations in design. The large format not only creates a near-seamless finish but it is also tied into wellness design –  it simplifies home maintenance.

Wembley is a large format floor tile but can be used to great effect on walls, as well as countertops or table tops.

Gryphon has long been associated with innovative sustainable design and manufacture, and recently pioneered EcoTec, a process that creates thinner, lighter yet stronger tile bodies – up to 55% stronger than SABS requirements – while lessening the impact on the environment. EcoTec not only reduces the amount of clay used, but it also consumes less energy during firing and less water during the entire process of tile creation. Because EcoTec tiles are thinner and lighter, they require less fuel during transport.
