Curated style and a craft cappuccino? That’s Italtile’s idea of #couplegoals ... which is why, next time you step into an Italtile Showroom, your senses will be assailed by the alluring aroma of a fresh new coffee blend on the brew.
Without a doubt, one of the key elements in the creation of Italtile’s trusted partnerships is a shared vision that sparks joy on both sides. We’re unapologetically passionate about quality, unique style, sustainability, and the upliftment of the communities in which we operate. As are The Black Crafters, a tribe of community-driven craft coffee artisans who have joined forces with Italtile to deliver a superior signature craft coffee experience to Italtile Showrooms around southern Africa. You could say that together, we’ve found common ground(s).
Inclusivity, artisan craft and an uncompromising approach to quality, sustainability and fair trade are the values that make the heart of this wholly black-owned, community-driven craft roastery since 2015. Bean by bean and cup by cup, in their pursuit of coffee perfection, The Black Crafters have been putting people first, in their commitment to uplift the disadvantaged and ignite change in their communities.
Their search for honest beans has resulted in a curation of unique flavour profiles to offer coffee connoisseurs an interesting choice of palate pleasers. From punchy and robust African beans and mellow Central American beans, to aromatic and zesty Southeast Asian varietals, there’s a flavour experience for all tastes.
We sat with The Black Crafters’ artisan alchemists to unpack our style, our story and our Italian heritage, in order to kickstart the conjuring of some exclusive coffee magic. The result is a signature Italtile coffee crafted from a 100% Arabica medium roast called Sinfonia Caffé: a richly rewarding symphony that marries captivating aroma and deeply satisfying flavour. In the expert vocab of The Black Crafters, our new cappuccino experience gives “an all-day blonde coffee balance that is sweet and toasty with a hint of excitement, creating the well-loved flavours of milk chocolate, confectionery and candied fruit”. (Double shot for us, please!)
But The Black Crafters’ experience doesn’t end there. With their characteristic enthusiasm and extra-mile service, the crew have taken our tea ladies under their wing and trained them to serve up an exclusive, top tier coffee experience to our Italtile customers, as proudly professional Baristas.
