“We rise by lifting others”, said Robert Ingersoll. No better exemplar of this powerful statement is the passionate work of Greg Bertish and https://thelittleoptimist.org/: a dynamic team who helps vulnerable youth navigate a sea of challenges through the lessons learnt in the brave little Optimist boats. This special team of volunteers dives in tirelessly, week after week, and is, in turn, invigorated and nourished through the process. A number of recent events empowered groups of young people to take to the water, and The Little Opti team members were bursting with pride as they watched their visitors discover their sea legs.
