This subway, or metro tile as it became affectionately known in the 1900s, measures 75 x 300 mm and has a white, matt surface.
These tiles became synonymous with the subways of New York, London and Paris throughout the years and have remained in our minds until now when they make their return. Use these tiles on kitchen or bathroom walls to create a classic or retro-modern look, when combined with dark coloured grout.
The matt look gives a natural touch to the subway look. It requires 44 of these subway tiles in order to cover an area of one square meter.
